Best of both worlds: Radial vs. Axial Flux

At Zeus Dynamo, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution. We engineer our generators around two distinct, high-performance dynamo architectures, each optimized for a different philosophy of power.

The Radial Flux Dynamo: Robust and Powerful

The heart of the Powerhouse Classic is a traditional radial flux dynamo. This proven and powerful architecture, with its robust cylindrical design, is engineered for maximum durability and sustained high-power output. It’s a testament to rock-solid, uncompromising engineering for users who prioritize sheer strength and time-tested reliability.

The Axial Flux Dynamo: Compact and Efficient

The core of the all-new Powercell is a state-of-the-art axial flux dynamo. This cutting-edge “pancake” topology, with its custom printed stator, is the secret to our industry-leading power density. It’s an architecture born from our R&D, focused on delivering the highest possible performance in the lightest and most compact form factor.

Whether you need the uncompromising strength of our classic radial flux machine or the ultralight efficiency of our advanced axial flux design, both are built with the same aerospace-inspired rigor and founder-led commitment to quality.

Strength by Design

Our design philosophy is simple: put material only where it’s needed. We use advanced stress analysis (FEA) to map the precise load paths through the generator’s body and crank, allowing us to engineer highly optimized, organic structures that would be impossible to create with metal. By building these complex forms with an advanced carbon fiber composite, the Powercell achieves its incredible strength-to-weight ratio—turning a digital analysis into a tough, lightweight, and real-world unibody design.
